OK I never thought I would refer to Zara as show heaven...I have an aversion to cheap shoes (OK flats are the exception)! That said, I had some time to kill between meetings yesterday so I decided to drop in to check out the summer fashions. Sure a couple of dresses caught my eye...the pants are on trend and kinda fab as well, but it was the selection of shoes that really rocked my world. Yes, they look great from afar, but do they stand up when you get up close and personal? Well ladies, I am here to tell you that not only do they look way more expensive than they are, but they are beyond well-designed and (are you sitting down?)...comfortable!!!!
The bright blue and yellow power sandals featured in the photos are on-trend perfection...sexy, 80's (ish), not too high, but just high enough, and so attention grabbing that I wanted them both. They also come in softer colors for those of you who are still fearful of brights. I also was in love with a nude pair of sandals with a wood cone heal (not pictured here) that are the perfect Kathryn Amberleigh knock-offs (click the link for a picture of the shoe they copied). Finally my absolute favs were a pair of hot pink, cage-inspired 4 inchers that are just to die. They are actually constructed of elastic bands inspired by the bandage dress phenomenon and are so unbelievably easy on the foot that no break-in will ever be required. At $100, this is by far the smartest way to do the hot pink trend, which I am fairly confident will be fleeting. Sorry ladies, I couldn't find a photo to share, so you will have to trust me that these are well worth a Zara drive by!!!
The aforementioned stunners are just the tip of the iceberg...there are so many other great choices as well (all @ $100), so if you need a little retail therapy or if you have to indulge your shoe obsession, this is absolutely the guilt-free way to go!!!
