I can already hear your gasps of surprise...me self, proclaimed boho/vintage girl coveting something, well streamlined and demure. You see that is the best part about style...even if you gravitate time and time again to a specific look (we are creatures of habit FYI), we always have the power to shake things up. I try to teach my clients to be fashion chameleons, to not confine themselves, to experiment with new ideas. As women we have power in choice!!! The only thing to remember as you step even if ever so slightly outside of your style box, is that you must make sure that you newest "dabblings" still look good on you. The only real rules in fashion are the ones that our body types force us into, so pay attention to those, but throw out every other confining idea!!!
So now onto my Audrey adoration. I always love a perfect LBD and more often then not, I seek out more streamlined, modern options. I love to play with shape and structure and I see true drama in simplicity. It is almost more difficult to create something clean and under-designed, so it when I find a piece that makes a less-is-more statement, I have to own it. This See By Chloe dress is 100% perfect...lightweight, cotton/linen, summer fabric...stunning, architectural skirt shape...sweet yet subtle ruffled bodice...modern little belt to finish it off. Now you are probably thinking...hmmm...seems over-designed to me, so let me explain a bit further. This fab frock works because the details are so NOT overdone...they are almost quiet and really are there to enhance the purity of the silhouette...that is the real beauty in design.
This lovely dress is also quite versatile. I would wear it for day with some ballet flats and one statement cuff and for night, of course with killer black heels, some layered bangles and a statement clutch. This is a nine month purchase, so it is worth the investment. Just throw on some tights when the weather turns and you will always be good to go.
So ladies, when you see me looking sweet and demure, don't be shocked. It is just so boring to be confined by a "look", so please even you hardcore downtowners let go of your inner Cafe Gitane and rock a little Breakfast At Tiffany's every now and then...really let your Audrey shine!!!!
Absolutely LOVE this dress! I have to have it!
