If you are already thinking catholic school uniform or Annie Hall, don't worry I haven't lost my mind. Ties do and always will belong on men. That said, why shouldn't we have our very own version of neckwear? Sure, the summer scarf phenomenon is nothing new and seems to be here to stay (I for one love them), but how about something just a little bit more ornate, more fashionable?
Welcome to my newest obsession...Tsumori Chisato scarves. They are twisted, ruffled, ruched perfection...just like wearing a little piece of art around your neck. They come in sweet patterns, like the Random Dot Stole (how fab that they are actually called stoles...that's a term I haven't heard for a long time), which looks so great paired with girly summer frocks or just a tee and jeans. They can be configured in so many interesting ways, so just play with them for maximum effect...part jewelry, part frilly "neckwear" you will never grow tired of these must-haves!!! I found them on my absolute favorite website, La Garconne in two colors, black and cream for $185. I know you can find scarves for way less just about everywhere, but trust me I have yet to see any that come even remotely close to being this special. Great pieces are always worth the investment and I promise, they never, ever go out of style. I still wear some of my uber trendy scarves and shawls from season's past and I always and I mean always get compliments.
If you aren't yet familiar with Tsumori Chisato, then I suggest you run to Opening Ceremony to check out the collection...it is beyond beautiful and architectural, just like their amazing "neckwear".
