I have covered A.L.C. here are there throughout my blog journey, but have yet to really give them their due. I love this brand so much, that I can barely contain myself. It is so right, in so many ways!!!!
I must be on a stylist kick this week, as like L'Agence which I covered yesterday, A.L.C. is designed by a stylist, Andrea Liberman of Gwen Stefani and Jennifer Lopez fame, just to name a few. She draws inspiration from her celebrity clients which is what makes the line all the more special. You can buy a little celeb vibe without looking like a celeb knockoff. The stylist set also seems to understand how a woman wants to dress...easy, comfortable pieces with distinct edge and high-fashion inspired design details. They just get the female body as they spend their days dealing with every figure flaw known to man. A.L.C. in particular is on spot when it comes to masking those flaws...lots of draping, ruching, fuller shapes (still feminine and sexy). Their most famous dress to date (the line is barely a year old) was the full length, gray jersey Grecian number everyone had to have this spring.
The fall collection is equally as covetable and here are some of my favs...Jersey Capelet Dress ($210), Leather Military Jacket ($1,195), Plaid Moto Jacket ($450), Cowl Neck Tunic ($275), Jeweled Tee ($395) and Slim Dress With Leather Straps ($595).
There are so many more styles to choose from on LaGarconne (lots of chic plaid) and on ShopBop (Gwen Stefani stipes galore), so do that Google search before you commit...that said, any piece will be a great addition to your wardrobe. I predict BIG things for A.L.C...much more to come!!!
